Spring recruitment for KN Solvro – once again, we open doors to the world of IT for you
What a rhyme in the title, isn't it? I think this slogan best reflects not only the mission of the club but also the goal of the bi-annual recruitment. For the 14th time, we offer the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies through the development of practical projects that make life easier for thousands of WUST students every day. In this article, we will answer your most pressing questions. What does our Science Club offer? Why is it worth joining? What development paths are available? Finally - what steps do I need to take to become a member of Solvro? If you want to build the technological future of WUST with us, check out the information below (and we have another rhyme). Recruitment runs until March 22, so don't delay and take a look at what we've prepared for you.

What do we offer as a Science Club?
We offer our members a wide range of opportunities - not only in terms of technical skills. We are a group of enthusiasts who, apart from projects, want to develop our community and consistently build a brand at industry events and on Social Media. As our member, you will have the following opportunities:
Participation in real projects
Your contribution impacts the daily life of WUST students, and the projects carried out by our Science Club are not just exercises but real solutions to real problems. ToPWR is an indispensable assistant in university onboarding, while Planner has simplified the process of creating schedules, saving countless hours on creating not-so-clear plans in graphic programs.
Mentoring
Working with experienced members, you'll quickly gain new skills and learn industry best practices. The vast majority of us already have experience in commercial projects.
Networking and collaboration
You'll meet people who, like you, are passionate about new technologies. Joint projects, workshops, meetings, and integration sessions are excellent opportunities to build valuable relationships.
Industry events
Participation in hackathons, conferences, and workshops will help you not only broaden your horizons but also stand out in the job market.
Personal and professional development
Working at KN Solvro is not just about learning to code but also developing soft skills, project management, and communication.
Available development paths
We have prepared as many as 9 diverse development paths for you - from creating modern software in commercially used frameworks, to project management and application maintenance, to creating an image on Social Media. Moreover, alongside the section you belong to, you can also participate in courses and workshops organized by other sections to gain knowledge and experience in other fields than the one you know best. By becoming a member of the Science Club, you gain access to an extensive knowledge base in the form of proprietary courses, numerous books and publications, and a collection of valuable materials worth analyzing on the path to effectively developing your skills or acquiring new ones.
Available paths are:
- Backend
- Frontend
- DevOps
- Mobile
- Machine Learning
- Social Media
- Hardware
- UI/UX
- Management
Recruitment procedure
You will receive two forms from us. The first one, available at this link: Form, provides space to present yourself in terms of your passions, interests, and current experience, whether professional or in other student organizations. There, you will talk about the tools and technologies you use and, if you wish, you can boast about your personal passions realized after hours. This is very important to us because the Science Club is more to us than just volunteering and a space for joint learning and work – we are a group of enthusiasts who like to share non-technological passions as well. One of our members last winter constantly organized open meetings at the ice rink, where he taught ice skating.
So if you feel that your hobby could positively influence the organization of additional activities in the Science Club, don't hesitate to mention it in the form! In the second step, you will have a recruitment task of your choice to complete. The tasks are available on GitHub, and you will receive the link after filling out the first form. The tasks are divided into categories corresponding to the sections functioning in the club. You choose one or more tasks depending on which section(s) you want to join. We tried to describe each task as accurately as we could, but if any questions arise, don't hesitate to ask them through our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/knsolvro Once you have successfully completed the task, use the second form, sent via email, to submit your solution and provide a link to your portfolio.
Ready for an unforgettable adventure and a significant turn in your IT career? Join us now! Also, don't forget to follow our event on Facebook to stay up to date with recruitment news, our Science Club's life, and current projects.
