Solvro Sante - real impact of the Polytechnic Science Club
As part of the Sante project, we developed an IT system supporting volunteers of the "Redemptoris Missio" Foundation in taking actions to combat mortality among pregnant women, improve sanitary conditions, and provide better access to vaccinations and medicines for the residents of Papua New Guinea.

About the Project
Our system allows foundation volunteers to fill out questionnaires they have prepared about medical needs of households and administrative units in electronic form, and then to generate reports based on the collected data. These reports contain information necessary to undertake actions related to medical activities such as administering Polio vaccines, pentavalent vaccines, and combating newborn and maternal mortality.
As part of the second phase of our project, we developed the Sante Advisor system, which, based on the collected data, allows predictions of demands for selected medical activities in the future. Sante Advisor utilizes artificial intelligence algorithms based on deep neural networks and machine learning techniques.
Team
Due to the nature of the project, the team consisted of members from both the machine learning section and the backend section. After the project's completion, they tested it in practice by traveling to Papua New Guinea. The Sante project is carried out in collaboration with the Redemptoris Missio Foundation, the Ministry of Humanitarian Aid of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Health of Papua New Guinea, and the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.
