KN Solvro, the Strategic Club of Wrocław Tech! An amazing end to the year 2024.

We proudly announce that the Science Club Solvro has been awarded the title of "Strategic Club of Wrocław Tech" for the year 2025. This extraordinary distinction is proof of the commitment, talent, and hard work of our members. This title is more than just another achievement for us. It is a motivation to continue our activities in the coming years and to carry out more amazing projects.

Since 2017, Wrocław Tech has annually selected strategic clubs whose activities stand out among others. Our path to success was therefore demanding and multi-staged.

The Road to Success!

The plans and dreams of the title of Strategic Club of Wrocław Tech emerged in our minds long, long before. Several years of dedication from a massive number of members, restructuring our activities, new ideas, and patiently striving for the goal. This year was incredibly exciting! Countless hours of in-person and online meetings, brainstormings, and numerous discussions. A trip to Lubawka where representatives of KN Solvro began to develop a long-term development plan for our Club. And above all, dedication and perseverance in the implementation of projects, many of which saw the light of production debut this year.

We simply became even more known! After launching the new KN Solvro website this year, we garnered over 30k views, and on our social media, we reached a total of over 90,000 views this year. The Planner app has helped over 5,000 students, and 1,800 students of Wrocław Tech already use ToPWR. We have over 100 members in our ranks! That’s Solvro in numbers, but we can also boast about the incredible initiatives in which we’ve participated.

We have repeatedly participated in international events such as FlutterCon Europe 2024 in Berlin, HackYeah 2024 at Tauron Arena Kraków, and ML in PL. Our Machine Learning section achieved spectacular success during HackYeah, winning 1st place in the AI category and a prize of 20,000 PLN.

We were one of the main organizers of the Conference of Science Clubs and Active Students WITKoN 2024, and our ranks grew by over 60 people this year – an incredible result!

The ToPWR app helps an increasing number of students every day. Along with Cybersecurity students, we developed the DeepFake Monitor project in collaboration with IDENTT. We are currently working on more exciting projects such as: Solvro Planner – a tool to help students create the perfect schedule, PromoCHATor - an AI chatbot assisting in advisor selection, the official Juwenalia 2025 app, and the LED Cube project. These are apps we’ll be hearing more about in the upcoming months of 2025. Members of KN Solvro are also continually developing the flagship mobile app ToPWR, supported by the open knowledge graph system and AI chatbot, TalkToPWR.

Additionally, many new blogs have appeared on our website, and as part of SolvroTalks, we invited inspiring practitioners who shared their knowledge and experience. The Summer Challenge was hugely popular – participants could gain invaluable knowledge during courses related to Frontend and Backend.

And that’s only part of our activities…

In November and December, the time came to realize Solvro's dream - obtaining the title of Strategic Club.

The first step was preparing a detailed 50-page application, covering technical projects, innovative solutions developed by the club, educational activities, as well as a description of the strategic ToPWR project. As a club, we pride ourselves on working with our honorary members (alumni) who continue to support our endeavors, including efforts to obtain the title of Strategic Club.

After successfully passing the formal and substantive stage, we started preparations for presenting our activities to the Central Commission. The presentation had to focus on the key aspects of the club's activities, such as the vision and mission, operational model, project management, scientific and publication activity, budget, partnerships, and development strategy.

Dawid Linek, the president of KN Solvro, played a crucial role in coordinating the actions leading to obtaining the title of Strategic Club of Wrocław Tech, driving our activities like a locomotive. He engaged the entire team, and a wide range of club members from various sections and projects helped in creating the application – thank you!

After many hours of preparation, the day of the presentation finally arrived. Our Science Club Solvro was represented by: Dawid Linek – President of the Board, Wojciech Krzos – ToPWR Program Manager, and Szymon Kowaliński – Vice President and Head of the Mobile Section. We would like to sincerely thank this trio for their enormous contribution to preparing the application and the amazing presentation of the club, which fully showcased our potential and commitment.

Obtaining the title of "Strategic Club of Wrocław Tech" opens up new opportunities for us. The additional funds granted will allow us to achieve ambitious goals. We will also be able to develop our projects faster and more effectively, providing valuable solutions not only for students but for the entire Wrocław Tech community.
